The clay floor of the Cottage being removed to allow for the LECA
(clay aggregate) to be placed prior to the Limecrete floor.

On the rear elevation of
the Cottage the ground level was 750mm above the inside floor level,
therefore the inside walls suffered from damp. To counter this the
external ground level was lowered and a French drain installed |
The Limecrete floor in the process of being
laid on top of the lightweight clay aggregate and membrane. The
first coat of lime render has now been placed on the walls.
